Weather With Class: Infant Welfare, Chicago
NBC5 Meteorologist visited The Infant Welfare Society of Chicago on Saturday, Nov. 16.
The audience was filled with of children of all ages, parents and instructors. They were all part of a program called the "Adventure Club".
Many of the participants wanted to get a better idea of how the weather works and what weathercasters go through to put a forecast together.
The group had also been practicing Christmas caroling and, at the end of Souza's presentation, treated her to a wonderful performance of Feliz Navidad.
Weather Question Of The Week
Martin Meraz, 9, asked the Question of the Week:What happens if there are two low pressures and two high pressures? Tammie Souza said, there actually are many areas of high and low pressure covering the globe at any given time. Each area of low pressure is balanced by an area of high pressure somewhere else. These centers of pressure are constantly changing and moving around the planet. They also vary in size and strength.
