UPDATED: 7:52 am CDT May 9, 2006

Detectives from the police Bomb and Arson Unit responded to a suspicious fire on the West Side on Tuesday morning.

The fire, at a Chinese restaurant on 26th Street and Central Park Avenue, broke out about 1 a.m., according to Fire Media spokesman Cmdr. Will Knight.

According to a Harrison District officer, the blaze started when someone threw a flammable substance at the building, but the officer did not have further details.

No injuries were reported, said Knight.
