UPDATED: 5:42 pm CST December 13, 2004

The Rev. Jesse Jackson claims his son was a victim of a classic case of racial profiling.

Jonathan Jackson said he and two African-American associates were asked to exit their car, then were frisked and detained by police officers.

One of the officers was also African-American, the other white.

The stop took place last Tuesday morning at 26th Street and Kedzie Avenue. The officers ultimately allowed the three to go.

Jonathan Jackson is a partner in an Anheuser-Busch distributorship.

The Chicago Police Department's Office of Professional Standards is investigating the stop.
