POSTED: 11:57 a.m. CDT April 29, 2003
CLEARLAKE, Calif. -- A dog that cheated death three times in one day last month is being released from the animal hospital, with no serious disabilities.
The dog, named "Dosha," was hit by a car a few weeks ago. Then a local police officer shot Dosha in the head, thinking he was putting her out of her misery.
The dog was presumed dead, and animal control officers put her in a freezer. But two hours later, a shelter worker opened the freezer and found Dosha alive.
