Driver Hospitalized After Car Plows Into Doctor's Office
Franklin Park Business Damaged In Late-Night Crash

FRANKLIN PARK, Ill. -- A motorist was hospitalized after colliding with an SUV and slamming a car into the window of a doctor's office late Monday in suburban Franklin Park.
The incident happened at 9721 Grand Ave. in Franklin Park at 11:07 p.m., a Franklin Park police officer said.The driver of a Dodge Durango was pulling out of a business and did not see a Ford Mustang traveling down Grand Avenue when the two vehicles collided. The driver of the Mustang then lost control and hit the storefront, the officer said.The car wound up in the waiting room of an orthopedic doctor's office. Previous reports that the building the car crashed into was a construction office were incorrect.
The driver of the Mustang was taken to Gottlieb Memorial Hospital in Melrose Park with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the officer, who added that the driver of the SUV was not hospitalized.Police are investigating what caused the crash.No citations or charges have been issued for either of the drivers Tuesday morning.
