Chicago police said Tuesday they have found a suspect in the slaying of a woman found stuffed in a motel closet.

Maratta Walker's decomposing body was found in a room at the Chicago Lodge in Edgewater on May 20. Police sources said the man who rented the room has been found in another state and murder charges are pending, NBC5 reported.

Walker's family filed a lawsuit on Tuesday against the Somerset nursing home where she lives. Her relatives claimed the facility was negligent by allowing her out when she needed constant supervision due to seizures.

Nursing home officials have not returned NBC5's calls seeking comment.
