HODGKINS, Ill. -- A United Parcel Service trailer carrying packages caught on fire early Friday in southwest suburban Hodgkins. No injuries have been reported.The trailer was parked at the UPS distribution center at 10001 75th St. when it erupted in flames about 5:30 a.m., a Pleasantview Fire Department dispatcher said."It had packages inside," the dispatcher said.
The UPS facilities surrounding the trailer have not been affected, the dispatcher said.Firefighters extinguished the blaze shortly after 5:30 a.m., NBC5.com learned.The dispatcher said a fire alarm alerted the Fire Department. Someone at the UPS facility possibly pulled the fire alarm, the dispatcher said.Nobody has been injured.
