Carbon Monoxide Poisoning Sickens 20 on Thanksgiving

Fire department blames indoor grill at Thanksgiving party

Seven people from a northwest side home were taken to two Chicago-area hospitals Thursday night, suffering from carbon monoxide poisoning.

A spokesman for the Chicago Fire Department attributed the illnesses to someone using an indoor grill in the home in the 4300 block of West Roscoe.

Some of those sickened were taken to West Suburban Medical Center and Our Lady of Resurrection Medical Center, according to the fire department.

Thirteen other people were treated at the scene.
