CHICAGO -- A long running labor dispute is threatening to shut down production at the Chicago plant that makes Tootsie Rolls.
Workers at Tootsie Toll Industries overwhelmingly rejected a tentative contract agreement and voted to strike this weekend.Union officials said workers, who have been without a contract since September, are unhappy with proposed changes in employee health insurance.Tootsie Roll officials said they expect an agreement to be reached.
